Hello everyone. Does anyone know how the flip up seat bolster from a 2015 Regal 2300 is removed? They are captain chair type seats I believe, and the starboard seat bolster needs some upholstery attention along the back edge where it abuts the main seat cushion. It looks like the axle hinge is a cup that fits over a post and I’m wondering if I can use a pry device to compress the leg from below and slide the cup off the axle. Hate to be too aggressive and wind up having to ask where to get a marching replacement instead of just repairing the vinyl on the bolster!
Thank you,
Rob

I have some pictures that might help. I repaired the seat and the pictures show that if you remove the main cushion, the mounting for the bolster is vissible. There are two screws holding the bolster piviot assembly to the chair. Maybe you can remove those and the bolster should come away .
This is on a 2004 regal2400
Good luck.

I will be pulling out for the layup in a week or two, and once I get it into storage, I’ll pull that seat out and try to be more formal than sticking a big flathead screwdriver up there blindly and trying to pry the junction apart. The upholstery is holding up quite well, so I may not need to do much with it, but I thought I’d reattach that trim strip if possible. If I discover anything interesting, I’ll post an update. If I break something, my wife likely will post that!

If you need the pictures, let me know where I can send / post them. The main seat support (plastic) cracked on mine, and I made one from white board. The entire seat assembly minus the bolster came off by removing the mounting bolts from under the seat. I posted the entire procedure on the old forum website. Getting ready to winterize ours also. Regards Bill

FWIW - there’s no issues posting pictures here if you link to them from a hosting site (I use Imgur) putting the link in your forum posting. Of course this means loading your image up to that hosting site first. Imgur is free - but there are other sites as well. DO NOT TRY TO ADD YOUR IMAGE AS AN ATTACHMENT! When editing your posting - choose the framed picture icon from the toolbar. Then copy & paste your image URL into the Link box that pops up when the frame picture icon opens. For Imgur - there’s a few link choices, pick the one named Direct and copy it.
Note - I’ve not had any luck getting an uploaded Google picture link to work on this forum, something to do with how Google references their picture links…

Thanks for the image posting guidance and thank you for posting the seat and bolster photos. Nothing but rain and cold here the past couple weekends, so I may have to pull it this weekend. Sad days my friends, sad days.
