We have a 28 Express and we were considering purchasing portable electric power station(Anker Solix, Jackery or Bluettii) as we do not have a generator. I wanted to get the larger one to offset power on my house battery. I wanted to plug it into the shore power so I can utilize microwave, plugs and maybe the fan on the ac unit while anchored. Has anyone used this type of product and had any success. The larger units can run an RV but I have not seen anything being talked about in the boating community.

Head over to Hull Truth - postings about this for boats in our size range. There are also postings there about putting in an AGM type battery bank + inverter and using a small gas powered generator to supplement. Generally - the larger portable battery power stations gives about 4-5 hours of A/C running time and of course will run your microwave, etc. They are expensive tho and not exactly lite weight.
A very good option if money isn’t an issue - put a (larger) Li—ion battery pack in the engine bay generator area and locate an inverter + controls in the 28’s salon seat compartment above that area. Maybe supplement charging with a flexible solar panel on the Bimini top?

My wife and I have an Anker (model Solix F2000) and have used it on our Regal 28 Express as a "generator". As boatrunner said, it's good for powering A/C for a few hours and readily plugs into the shore power outlet on the transom above the swim platform. It's easy enough to stow it below and run an orange extension cable (like you'd use for an electric leaf blower) from the stern to the unit. It could probably fit beneath the rear seat, though I haven't tried putting it in there. Solar power panel on the roof to help charge the Anker wouldn't be a bad idea.

The 200 Ah LiFePO4 battery we put in our boat 4 years ago (about $800 on Amazon) is now selling for $263 and free shipping. Get 2 batteries and then a 2 or 3 kW inverter!
