Yes, my firebox, never stopped the engines. Not sure if that was due to a rewire by the previous owner, and I didn't test it after the new monitor was put in. boat is pretty much gone now, and I have outboards on the new boat, but still have a gene in the hold so I do still have a firebox setup on the new boat.

Hi All - Looking for some help / advice regarding the Fireboy system. I have a 2005 4460 (diesel shafts) and I'm fairly sure the Fireboy system installed is the original from the factory. I'm having issues with it insomuch that it is occasionally overriding the starting of the engines (and the override switch for the Fireboy does not fix the issue). Most recently its occured after a starter battery replacement but that may be a coincidence.
I am planning on bypassing the Fireboy control module to avoid issues going forward but I simply have been unable to determine its location. Does anybody know where it is housed? I can see the override switch on the helm (the round unit), and I can see the bottle / pressure switch in the engine bay. I have presumed that the control module sits in the dash somewhere behind the helm gauges but have not been able to find it when removing the dash panels.
Any ideas? Thanks Atlas

Atlas2,
I wish I could help you, but I don't remember the setup from my 4460 which was a 2006 and I last had that boat over 5 years ago. Hopefully, someone else can answer your questions.
