Does anyone know if a 20' regal will fit in a standard garage opening 7' high 9' wide and 23' deep?

It certainly should depending on the trailer. Mine has the boatmate trailer and the tongue folds pretty much flush with the tip of the bow. Hope this helps.

Would you mind sending me some dimensions of your sitting on the trailer Height, width and length?

Will do. Is the driveway level going into the garage, or sloping downward or upwards? This can make a big difference in whether it clears the door header.

Dont think a 20' Regal (1900 length is what, LOA, bow to end of O/D skeg?) will fit into a 23' deep garage? Length from back of outdrive skeg plus length of trailer tongue forward of the bow "V" block most likely more than 23' ? PS: Nice seeing admin asking a question Was 77 F here in the ATL yesterday, 33F this AM, go figure?

I had a chance to measure the boat this weekend and it will be a tight squeeze on height. Length on trailer with tongue folded and drive trimmed down is just under 22'. Trailer is roughly 8'7" tire to tire. Height with the trailer level is right at 8'(you would need to lower the tongue to get it in a 7'9" opening or have a grade that slopes away from the garage so the tow vehicle is lower than the trailer), but the bimini does not fold flat and sticks up another 6". I hope this helps.

Height is pretty tight? Something I did many years ago = at the time my boat was about 2" higher than the garage opening, I let a lot of air out of the trailer tires and it was enough to fit into garage. Then just left tires under inflated until taking boat out in spring. You may want to put a couple of jack stands under trailer axle if doing this works to keep tires from developing a flat spot over winter. With bimini sticking up another 6" this may not work for you? Is the bimini removable? Would think so? Second suggestion = The next boat I had wound not go into garage, a lot of farmers in our area had barns with a lot of room and I brout boat to one who charged $30 / month, but that was in 1978/1982. Good luck!

The bimini can be removed, but I would not want to have to do it every time I put my boat away if the garage in question was used for year round storage. If this is for off season storage, then it wouldn't be a big deal to remove it.

Also, if just putting leaving it in his driveway during boating season (with bimini up) will work but wonder what he has been doing over the last few years of owning it? Spent many years storing my previous boats (last one a 24' Python cuddy cabin) on its trailer at a off lake boat storage site ( old "big" chicken barn cleaned up and a good roof!) for about $50/month. As I got older it became a PITA to have to have a truck with hitch, pick it up, launch, retrieve, pull back to chicken coop and do that every weekend or so for 6 months or more. Glad the 4160 just sets in its under roof wet slip year round, but a lot pricer that the $50 / month off site storage for the 24' Python! Just FYI, the wet slip is $600/month year round but the son pays it. I cant afford it on SS!

Sounds like you just need to get the power tower! I believe it folds lower than the windshield frame.

Some things may change with kids schools which might make us full time LG residents, not a bad thing but just need to see how the rest of the school year will play out. Rather than paying for private schools, I would rather put the kids in the LG school system which is amazing and put that money towards a nice house on the water. I am not in love with any of the colors that Castaway has and I need to make sure it will fit in my garage.

I suspect the 2000 ES would be a nice step from the 1900 in terms of size despite the modest difference in length. I would make sure you look over the new boat closely as my 1 month old 4 hour boat has some gelcoat defects Regal has apparently not yet approved be fixed under warranty (it has been about 3 weeks). I certainly wish I would have noticed them before signing on the dotted line...
