I have a Fusion ms700ip stereo with a remote, in a new to me boat, first time I tried to power it up it took multiple pushes on power bottom to fire up, next time no luck getting any power, read manual and reset head unit as instructed, still no luck. Very strange as I only waited 1 hour between 1st successful power up and power up issues with boat in slip. Fusion Remote in cabin powers up, and reads “waiting on network”. Wondering if I just have a bad head unit, anyone experience this. Of course worked fine during boat survey.

This could be an issue with the remote. My buddy and I had the same model of Fusion you do. I installed mine without a remote and we installed his remote since the stereo was in his cabin and not reachable from the helm. Both units had trouble starting up a few years ago after the boats were on the hard for the winter. I reset mine using the normal reset function and it came back fine. We tried the same on his but it didn't work. Called Fusion and they said they had issues with some units like this that had remotes installed. they aren't sure why it happened, but since it was out of warrantee they couldn't help outside of sending the unit back to them to look at. It was going to cost almost as much as a new unit so that is what my buddy did.
Have you tried to call Fusion?

I had the same problem, I did a full hard reset and uploaded their latest software and the problem was cleared.

Fusion full reset worked on my Fusion when it locked up over that same winter, but it didn't work on his at all.
