I am heading down to Orlando, FL to take a tour of the Regal manufacturing facility later this month. Since I work in a manufacturing environment I am really looking forward to the tour. I have made my reservation with Regal but was just wondering if anyone else has taken tour and if there is anything that I should look out for to get the most out of the tour. Does anyone know who typically leads the tour from Regal; just wondering how technical / much insight they have on the manufacturing processes? Happy New Year to everyone and hoping for a great 2020 boating season.

I have been on the factory tour twice. The first time was almost a waste of time. The person who gave the tour wasn’t that knowledgeable and was more like a guide so I wasn’t walking around by myself. I don’t remember who it was but I don’t think they are there anymore. The 2nd time I took the tour it was with the Northeast regional rep, Chad Trimm. That was a 1000 better as he was very knowledgeable and explained in detail a lot of the manufacturing processes.
I also have a favor to ask of you. My 38XO is being built right now or just about to be started in terms of the hull. When you are down there can you please take some pics of my 38XO? It will be only one that has the Belle Isle Blue color. Thanks

Many thanks for your response and congratulations on your new boat. I have made a note in my calendar event for the factory tour to remind me to take some pictures of your boat. It should be neat to have some pics of your boat during the manufacturing process.

I don’t think the hull is coming out of the mold until first week of Feb. However if snap some pics of other 38’s feel free to send those along.

We had a great time during the factory tour and took tons of pictures and videos. Robert, director of service for Regal was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and spent quite a bit of time with us. Checking out the last remaining 53 footer in the showroom was also a high point for me. After being in Orlando for the past week I am kinda buried at work and at home but will try to post some pictures in the near future.

Sorry for the delay but I finally got around to posting a few pictures from my factory tour of Regal in Orlando, FL last month. Not the same as being there but I sure hope you enjoy the pictures.
