Now that I’ve had my 33x for several weeks I thought I’d share my experience so far. First off, this boat is perfect for my family. My wife and I, and my 2 yo and 8 yo. Comparing to the 28x: it’s not really comparable. I loved my 28 but this thing has so much more to offer. The 28 is great for a couple, but when kids are involved it gets small fast.
Features we love: The swim platform is absolutely huge! All 4 of us can sit back there with room to spare. The high performance stereo option is better than we expected. It comes with transom speakers, hardtop speakers, a subwoofer, and a 5 channel fusion amp. 11 speakers total, fusion signature series with Led lights. All 4 zones are used on the stereo to give you maximum control. Volvo glass cockpit: very impressed with the way this system works. It took a little while to get used to it and get it set up the way we wanted but it’s a great addition to the overall boating experience. Volvo joystick docking: stress free docking every time out! Yes please! Performance: very impressive hole shot with the gen v 300’s, and fuel efficiency seems really good The hardtop was a great addition to the 2019 model year. We love the way it looks, the integrated lighting, and the way the enclosure works with it. The fit and finish is very good, I have been all over the boat, constantly cleaning like I always do and I’ve only found a few gel oat issues that I have documented. Everything fits nicely throughout.
Issues The AC has an issue. The water pump was not wired properly and the system pumps water all the time. The pump kicks on as soon as the AC breaker is turned on. One of the salon seats has a weird staining The sea grass mat has a burn hole in it These items are being handled by the dealer under warranty.
That’s all I’ve got for now.

Thanks for the update. The colors you guys picked are beautiful and they appear to be cleaning friendly.
We tossed and turned over your old boat as I know, how well you cared for it but at the end we just kept coming back to size and our kids are growing.
For now I am looking for a used 2011 or newer 3060 (hint hint if someone is selling a fresh water boat).
2011 seems to have a better interior layout and the magical stick for docking.

Congrats on the new 33 Ex! Good luck with it! I know exactly what you mean about the 28 Express and being more than a couple on it! With me, my wife and our 12yo son space gets tight quick! We spend a lot of time on our mooring ball over in Port Jeff NY and not having the built in generator and more thank just the "hole" as we call it down in the cabin when the berth is put together gets old quickly. We have our 2013 28 Ex listed now and we are looking at used 35 Sport Coupes and 32 Expresses. I really like the idea of the 35 Coupe with limited eisenglass!

Thanks, we are really enjoying the 33 thus far. The 28 was a great boat for us for 6 seasons but once we had our 2nd kid, it got really tight.
The 35 SC is a great boat also but the mid cabin of the 33/32 is way bigger. That king sized bed is awesome.
I'd love to see what kind of fuel numbers people are seeing with their 35SC's and how they compare to the 33 X. There isn't much of a weight difference between the 2 boats but the 35SC has a wider beam. The 33/32 has a newer designed hull, the 35SC hull has been around for a while.

Good info! The aft cabin on the 32/33 is definitely a huge reason to go with that boat!

We are on our 5th season with the 28 Express. It really is a great boat and inexpensive to run an maintain so it is a tough decision to move up but having that extra room and creature comforts would make a big difference. What makes me lean towards a 35 Coupe is the full glass cockpit and not having to deal with all the eisenglass! But it does not make sense why you still have to convert the forward berth on a 35 footer. Ok, I can see why on the 32/33 but on a 35? How do you find having to flip up the end of the forward berth? A big discussion my wife and I have had is having a boat with permanent forward and aft berths that we never have to make up and break down. We end up leaving the forward berth made up in our 28 Ex which takes up a lot of room but saves time and energy!

My daughter sleeps on the forward berth. She is 8 years old and it is large enough for her to sleep on sideways without folding it out. She loves that bed! I shouldn't have to fold that out on a regular basis for a few more years

I get 1.2 - 1.1 MPG with the 300’s VP at cruising speed (around 26 mph at 3500 rpms) with my SC35. (Not painted bottom hull). I have the older gen V300 so iI guess the newer models might provide better mileage? Hope it helps.

I shouldn't have to fold that out on a regular basis for a few more years Our son is 12 and 5'7" already so I would definitely have to put the foot of the bed up. I would imagine you could just leave the bed made nicely while it is folded down then put it up when ready to go to bed.

I shouldn't have to fold that out on a regular basis for a few more years Sounds about right and coincides with what I have seen on reviews/tests. All of the new Regals seem to have efficient hull designs and good powertrains which equal decent fuel bur numbers for the 32 to 35 footers.

Folding up the bottom of the bed only takes a minute and leaving the bedding ready to be folded down would be easy. I love the design, it gives you maximum cabin floor space. That makes the boat feel much bigger than it is.

Just wondering if anyone has fuel burn data on the 33XO vs sterndrive??

Wind954, Here is the link to the Boattest that was done on the 33XO. I've been searching for fuel burn data as well since I'm getting a 33OBX with twin 300 Yamahas. So I'm guessing my fuel burn for that boat should be similar to the XO but maybe a little better since the OBX is a little lighter. Boattest 33 Xo
Here is a snip from that test showing Fuel Burn stats.

Beautiful boats guys(33 OBX-Outboards and 33 Express - I/O's) ! I do like the addition room on the OBX's. Regarding the possible fuel consumption difference I think that might be important based on how far you cruise and how often you are at sea? If your doing a ICW cruise from NY to the FL keys that might make a small (or big) difference? Great to see 49.5 MPH at 6000 RPM (WOT?) on the twin 300 HP Yamahas! In our case we are only putting on average of 75 hours/year and typically cruise at 3400 RPM (about 3/4 throttle). Yes, with our 2X 150 gallon tanks and 2X 420 HP 8.1 L V drive inboards filling them up from almost empty is a hit on the charge card! Wondering if there is equivalent fuel burn stats on the Gen 5 -300's on the 33 Express?

Does anyone have access to production numbers on late model 32//33 and XO express models for the past couple of years?? Say from 2016 the 2020?
