What value is placed on a Volvo Gen V equipped 32 Express vs a non Gen V equipped express with everything else being equal. ?? That would depend on how much value you put on newer technology.
The Gen V engines are a 5.3l with direct injection, variable valve timing, all aluminum construction, closed cooled engine, coil over plug ignition, easy drain system, better fuel economy, WOT is 5800 RPM
The other is a 5.7l with multi port injection, cast iron construction, raw water cooled, distributor style ignition system, WOT is 5000 RPM

Thank you for the reply. So I am trying to figure how much the market places on the new technology. Two boats side by side... Is it 10, 15, 25K difference? Was 2016 the first year of the Gen V engines?

To me the Gen V wins hands down simply due to the Closed Cooled Engine setup. The rest of the benefits are also very strong, but that alone is worth the cost of entry. This goes in any environment, but especially if you are in salt water for some portion of your time on the water.
