Came across this gem tucked away, couldn’t help but wanted to see her fly again. 1940 J4 Cub Plan is to do a restoration and put it on floats

That will be a fun project. I am a Private Pilot. I have not flown for a while as boating consumed that part of my $ spent on flying. Keep pics coming.

There is no corona up here, just peace and quiet. I equate flying to boating as they both are peaceful activities to me. Attachments:

Great to see some fellow aviators in the group. I have owned and flown my PA34 Seneca III since new in 1989, 3500 hours ago!

YES!!!!!! Bob Mahanor was his name...truly a great guy. I have not met Bob, but my brother is good friends with him (the photo is actually my bothers plane, but it is my car). When you said it was in Maine, I figured it had to be Bob or someone in his family (his brother and father are also pilots). From what I gather, Bob has quite a sense of humor and can be very entertaining. Small world.

Very small world, I worked up there for three years, it was my first job in aviation. Bob used to split his time between Maine and elsewhere but when he would come up to Maine, we would do his maintenance. He is a true Gentlemen. I have not seen him in over 20 plus years but I looked him up and he still looks the same!
