Hi all.. I have a Norcold DC-440 fridge on my 2660. It seems to cool fine, but the compressor is annoyingly loud. Is there a fix for this, or is it a sign that it's on the way out?

what kind of loud? Simply a vibration rattle or a whine as in compressor bearings. The first you might be able to fix by seeing if there is metal to metal contact somewhere in the fridge mechanicals or perhaps the entire fridge is rattling against something. Might just need to tighten up the mounting screws or clear some space between something or use some vibration dampening material (that won't burn if the area gets hot).
The later will probably mean the compressor is going and you'll either need to have it replace or rebuilt or buy a new fridge.

It's a deep, low pitched hum. Not a whine like a bearing. I will look into it further and check for a vibration. Thanks for the advice.

Does this make the noise on AC or DC power , if your fridge operates on both like ours does? If it was me let it continue making a little noise and cool vs. have it serviced/replaced (big $$). please advise if AC or DC!

Are you sure the noise is not coming from the 12V fan on the fridge cabinet.

Are you sure the noise is not coming from the 12V fan on the fridge cabinet. I pulled out the fridge, and the fan is quiet. I have figured out that it is vibrating and just resonating through the cabinet. Since it's working fine, I'm going to try different things to muffle the vibration.
