Looking to see if any of you have issues with your L Shape Table Mounts. I haven't used the table on the bow area bracket but I have several times in the last month on the bracket in the main cockpit. About a week after taking ownership of the boat, I saw a screw on the floor and tracked it to the mounting bracket for the table. I screwed it back in, and then about a week ago while setting up the table, actually placing the table on top of the mounting pole, both of the top screws in the bracket popped out. I was able to put one back in, but the other is completely stripped. This is the bracket I'm talking about. The screws on this bracket are only 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch long. They look wofully to small to support even the smallish table that my boat came with. I believe in this setup, the bracket should be mounted with thru bolts and a metal backplate. I did report this as a warrantee issue, and ask that it be repaired with thru bolts, but I'm thinking they are going to just put some slightly longer screws in. If they do, i'll upgrade the setup myself. Have any of you had issues with these types of tables? To be honest, i'd like to convert the cockpit table to a setup similar to what I had on my 4460 with a metal plate in the floor that you screw in the pedestal mount and then a pole with the table on the top. Has anyone retrofitted a floor mount table on a regal floor where it wasn't originally designed to be there?

Have the same setup and only use the table in the cabin for my laptop when working from the boat. I put a 75qt cooler in the aft cockpit lounge instead of the table. Reason for the cooler was exactly what you described. I looked behind the table mount and realized one of my two sons will rip that out the first time they use it. They will try to sit on it, or lean or kick it. The mount does need a thru-bolt with locking nut.
So we use the cooler top as the table for food and whatever else the table was used for. The cabin table is for work laptops for wife and I only.

Yep, not a great design. This is one Regal should rethink. I have a call into the factory to talk about Hardtop wiring and adding some lights. I'm going to ask them about the gene pick up in the tanks as well and now I'm going to add this to the list. Someone goes and spends the number we had to in order to get a new regal and you end up being disappointed in the quality the first time you use the table. Kind of sad, I don't see this fix as an expensive one. Heck just reuse the design for the tables that you had on your older boats, like my 4460.

Side topic, if you get details on the hardtop please post up. I think we have the same hardtop and I am trying to figure out how to remove the vinyl pad under the hardtop for the radar thru-bolt mount installation. Emailed regal a week ago and no response. edit: never mind, just checked the website and we have different hardtops.

Omarf4,
I'll still share since I'm guessing the vinyl covering attachment method may be very similar if not the same. On my 33 I didn't get the sunroof for a variety of reason, but the underside of the hardtop is finished in vinyl in the middle and a dark great trim around the ends where the blue lights are mounted on top. Pulling this down probably breaks clips but I want to know from REgal if we can get replacements and from where.

I had that same type of table mount bracket on my 2015 32Exp. We never had any trouble with it but I admit I never looked to see how it was mounted so I'm not sure if there was a backing plate. One the 38XO we have a floor mount. Down side amount the floor mount is the hole when the table is not set up. I found online a flush cover plug which seems to work well.

rlazer, your setup on the 38 XO is what I wish I had at the back corner on the 33. I'm investigating if it can be retrofitted and what I'm finding is not easily and if I do it it will require fiberglass work.

So, getting back to original topic as your vessel is new and under warranty let dealer fix it. Most likely longer screws are not the answer, need one size larger screws with properly sized pilot holes to secure it tight. Not knowing the exact location of these brackets as to possibility to put bolts/nuts/washers in vs. SS screws let dealer know and suggest they do that as a much better much better fix.

The table mount on my 2019 33 express is through bolted as it should be. Attachments:
