I have a 2014 Regal 2300 with the touch screen and fusion system. My head unit is the MS-IP700 and I just installed a new amp. So my head unit and rear control u it work perfect but the touch screen says “searching for stereo”. The only thing I unplugged was reused w the new amp bit I did NOT go w a fusion amp. Could that be the issue??

Yes, looks like your touch screen might be looking for the amp via blue tooth or some other signal. You shoud read the Fusion head units owners manual and see if you might have to "re- pair" the touch screen to the new amp. Was the old amp a Fusion amp and if so what did you replace it with??
