See attached pic! The neutral wire melted(lots of corroded copper wire strands) and shorted out to the hot (black ) wire under the white plastic cover on the back of receptacle.You should see that the white plastic cover covered over the short so took some thinking to remove the cover) This micro short was just enough current to turn the light on and also only 40 VAC on the shore 2 cabin breaker voltmeter while just on some low current cabin lights.
