Sunday I became the proud new owner of a 1994 272. So far, I'm extremely happy with the purchase. It was sad to see my 1982 Formula Thunderbird go, but couldn't see owning 2 boats. Can anyone let me know what size linear actuator I should be installing to lift the engine compartment (Not the lightest thing I've lifted)? Thanks for the help in advance.

i had a Formula Thunderbird but only a 20' tri hull. Rough as hell in a little chop, sold it a log time ago to some fisherman. Do you currently have a electric lift cylinder on the engine room cover now? On my 20' Thunderbird no electric lift, just was a lot stronger 30 years ago and lifted it by hand.

Thanks. My Formula was an F23SC. She was a great boat. The engine compartment was easily lifted. My '94 272 Commodore has mounts for a lift as well as leads. I just need to know the size to install. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Call or better yet e mail Regal Customer Service, go to Regal web site to work thru that. Have your hull number prior to doing either ! With your hull number they know first= You have a Regal vessel hull number and everything that was used to build the boat. It is possible that they dont have computer record of your boat from 1994 but someone in parts can tell you. Good luck! PS Kindly indicate you model, mfg., year, propulsion system, where docked etc into a salutation or in all posts, thanks!

Well, called them and they promptly diverted my call to a message directing me to the website and contact customer service that way. Email was sent the same day I posted my thank you response on this thread... Still waiting for a reply. Checked spam folder and nothing there either. I've emailed them again today requesting my owner's manual. So here's to hoping...

They might not have a lot of info on a 1994 27? Give them a few days to respond to e mail.
