New owner of a 2004 Regal Commodore 3860. Working on several small projects. Small things tend to be big things on a boat! My ceiling "puck" lights have become a little tarnished and I was simply looking to pull them off and spray paint them white; however, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get them down. I've twisted and turned the housing and pulled them. They've got to be removable because they have regular light bulbs in them that would need replacing. Anyone have any advice? There are two styles, the "puck" type and the flush type. Thanks! Attachments:

You should be able to pry off the outer ring (try a thin butter knife to get under the rim) , then mounting screws are under the ring . Then re paint the ring and replace the halogen (bi pin type in there?) bulbs with LED equivalent vs. trying to completely replace all the fixtures ?

Use your thumbnail and press up on the inner ring, moving your way around the circumference. When you find the correct spoy, it will tip up into the light, and you can pull it out. No tools should be needed.
