Hi all! I recently got a 2007 2565 Window Express, and each time when I get her after a minute or so between 3100 and 3600 RPM and she is starting flying, there is this intermittent alarm from behind the console that gradually shuts off the engine and I have to start from zero again. In order to avoid the engine to be shut off by it, I put neutro and stop the engine so it's me who shut it off and not the control. What is it? Any idea? Is there anything I am doing wrong?

I think the year and model was buried in the post but nothing about engines? But, type and size of engine(s), where located, operating hours on engines, missing. Admin= glad you helping out with new members not supplying this important info but again, require this info et al when first joining this forum?

OK, alarm went off. Did you look at both engine oil pressure and engine temperatures when alarm went off? Yes, probably under the circumstances was not your first thing to do, look at gauges!

Like the guys stated it would help to have the type of engine(s) you have. 2565 probably only has one of them, but if it is a Volvo I can tell you that their sensors are super sensitive. On my 4460, while they were diesels and I'm sure you engine(s) are gas, the coolant sensor was right at the tip of the filler neck so if you were down even a half a cup of anitfreeze the alarm would go on when you started the engines but would go off a minute or two later when the temp started to build. It could be something like that, but any time an alarm is going off more than likely you need to do something maintenance wise even if it does go off eventually.

When the coolant (fresh water and 50% anti freeze) starts to heat up it will expand slightly, so that may be the reason your example of coolant level switch ( we dont have anything like that on our 2001) sends a audible alarm then stops after a few minutes? Best OP check the engine coolant level bottle first and hopefully reply. ?
