First time owner of the surf boat. Took it out last week to experiment with the surf settings. When I tried to empty the bags, the screen showed empty but they were still about 1/4 full and made the boat sluggish and rough when trying to cruise. I tried emptying while stopped and while running. Also tried pulling the bag up from the back so the water was in the front of the bag. Still have a substantial amount of water in the bags. These should be draining much easier than they are. Any suggestions?

I had a 2300 Surf that would do the same. The level displayed on screen is an expectation based on math (flow rate of the pumps and size of the bags) not a sensor. On my 2300, once the pumps would automatically stop, I would hit the 'empty all' button again, the pumps will run again for a minute or two...maybe 3 and finish emptying the bags. The same is true for filling as well, just be careful to make sure to not overfill. One other semi related tip, I was often plagued by the bags not filling at times and the pumps making a horrible noise. This is caused by air pockets in the pumps, for me, exacerbated by my boat being dry stacked. The solution was to briefly empty the already empty bags for a second or two and then fill.

WE have 21surf here in Australia and as spade said if you go to empty all it should help you. We had to do it a number of times but now it is second nature.
