Hello. I am a new Regal owner and have purchased a 2008 4060 that has some minor issues I am trying to resolve. One of which is a fridge that leaks prion and cannot be fixed. I purchased a replacement Isotherm CR200 which is the exact match of what's in there currently and to my surprise found out that it is too big to fit through the cabin opening. The only way to get it out and the new one in is to remove the sliding cabin door and screen. I spent hours pulling things apart to try and remove to no avail. Has anyone taken these doors out or replaced the fridge? Thanks in advance for any help!

We purchased the 2006/4460 this spring., so I think similar refrigerator and cockpit doors to the 4460The fridge wasn’t an Isotherm but a Nova Kool side by side. We weren’t on the boat when they installed, but I understand they took the doors off the refrigerator and I believe tilted up the dash. I know they didn’t remove the cockpit door as I’ve asked them about doing it and they say it’s a really big job to do.

I have heard that an people have had to remove the internal parts of the old unit, and replace it with the parts from the new unit. This way you don't have to try to disassemble the boat to install hew new unit.
This way only the cabinet of the old unit remains. You can usually use the new door, gaskets, etc.
You may need to get a technician to come and recharge the unit after the 'guts' are swapped as some of the plumbing goes through the cabinet. Talk to a tech before you try this. I have not done it myself.

Maybe only need a new compressor which could be done in the salon or leak found and fixed?
