So I just came back from a 500+ mile trip from NY lower Hudson River to Burlington VT (40 miles south of Canada). We ran 2 days up, 2 days back with a few days rest in between. Each day we ran all 3 engines straight for about 9-10 hours and did that for 4 days. I was a bit worried about running into mechanical issues putting that much use, strain, etc on the Yamahas but they were flawless. Other than using a ton of gas, the Yamahas and the Regal performed perfectly without issue. We also put a lot of use on the bow thruster and joystick going through the 12 locks each was and some high wind.
During the 500 miles we had to go through rain, wind, fog and complete darkness. We used all the systems on the boat, everything worked as expected and nothing broke. Over the next two weeks we will be putting about another 10 hours and 160 miles on it before it's laid up for the winter. We should end up around 140-150 hours of the season.
Looking forward to next season where hopefully life will be back to normal.

That is an epic trip! Thank you for sharing. It is good to learn that everything performed well. What was your average speed and gallons per hour burn? Do you have some pics?

How do you like the XO? Assume a lot more room than our 4160 with V Drives (you dont have a engine room). What Yamahas do you have? Assume you have a gasoline fueled gen set, what size and mfg. and how often did you use it? Sorry you have to pack in for the winter, do you pull out and winterize or in a heated warehouse? Assume the OB's dont need any winterization but internal boat water systems (potable/grey/black) systems do? Fortunate our 4160 stays wet year round, lake never has frozen so only have a automatic engine room heater to keep stuff from freezing and set cabin HVAC to 50F to keep internal water stuff from freezing.
