Hi everyone, been looking for some direction on how to access the air-conditioning unit for repair in my 3560. It's contained in the shelf below the electronic panel. There must be some way the shelf comes apart to pull out the unit for repair.

Unless your versed in marine HVAC systems suggest you just contact a Marine HVAC professional to investigate? What isnt working? Possible you wouldn't have to remove the AC unit, just a re charge/control board replacement, plugged/fowled sea water condenser flow or pump, etc. So, same old question, where are you located, fresh or salt water, year of vessel, etc. Welcome to the Forum!

I am pretty well versed with how marine hvac works. I was more looking for how to access the unit without damaging the boat. For those that are interested inside the front storage there are 4 screws holding the top corien in place.

OK, didn't know you were well versed in Marine HVAC? So, just curious, what is needing repair? What did you determine the unit isn't doing? Thanks!

I think I recently answered this question on the FB Regal boats group.
It seems you know how to do it now, the four screws under the 'Corian' top and the top removes easily to give you some access to the AC unit.
If you still have a CD deck mounted there, you may have to remove it first.
It's still a bit tight to get into the AC unit even with the Corian top removed, but it's a start to get things disassembled for access or replacement.

Good info Rich, still would be interested in what is actually not functioning on the OP's HVAC unit? Possible he doesnt need to get to it if plugged sea water strainer, 120 VAC sea water pump, plugged condenser heat exchanger (yes, that most likely on the HVAC unit), bad thermostat/control unit, breaker tripping/ defective (we had two breakers that had failed(one was undersized from Factory) when our units stopped running ) , the second HVAC unit it was a control module on the AC unit and the control panel, both at the same time! Wondering what th OP is going to do when he accesses the unit? any codes showing on the control panel / stat?

Turns out nothing was wrong. Marina techs that winterize my boat said it wasn't engaging. So before I headed up to it I wanted to know how to get access to the unit.

Thanks for the replys guys... Your welcome, thanks for reply and now you know how to get to it if and when it actually has a problem functioning Also, Rich, I am on facebook but dont monitor the Regal stuff there. Have enough trouble monitoring the LLBG (Lake lanier Boaters Group) Lots of newbies there but nice folks!
