Purchased a Regal 2800 bow ride this past spring (awesome boat). It came with a triple axle trailer that wasn't specifically set up for the 2800 and I am about to pull it out of the water and store it over the winter. I can't find any information on the web about trailer setup, bunk board positioning, etc., etc. Seems to be a desert on the web when it comes to my boat. Any advice on where I can find some info related to trailer setup for the 2800?

Triple axle trailer really way too big for that boat? It came with boat but you dont know if boat will fit? Sell trailer (or trade trailer in for a two axle one with the correct load capacity and that will fit? Think you have a month or two to get boat out of water if in fact, lake freezes? Maybe think about having a marina pull and dry dock while you figure out trailer?

I don’t have a lot of experience with Trump-axial trailers. On our last boat, the bunks were about 3ft apart in the back and the front ones had about a 6” gap. Really the goal was to keep the keel off the structural part of the trailer (unless it has rollers and then the bunks can be setup to support the boat from leaning. As for how far up the trailer, assuming it is a longer one than needed, the key is to get tongue weight so it has to be far enough up to keep a decent tongue weight as you don’t want fish tail. Maybe on the trailers website you can find a recommended tongue weight. I think the bunks are going to be trial and error. Set them, load the boat, see how it looks and adjust as necessary. Sorry I don’t have a scientific answer.
