I purchased a 2016 42 Sport Coupe, when I fill the fresh water tank I never see the overflow come out. On my earlier Regals, when the tank filled the overflow came out the fill opening. On this boat the gauge reads full, but the water never gets up to the fill opening, and I don't see it coming out of any of the through hull openings. Can someone provide insight into where the overflow is going, I hope not into the bilge! Fred

I would check the bilge etc. and if bilge pumps not pumping out check the vent line from fresh water tank to overboard thru hull , should be coming out of there! That is where fresh water tank vents when filling or emptying! Let us know what you find out!

Thanks for the response, now the next question is how do I get to the fresh water tank? It appears to be towards the bow, but when I look into the anchor lockers all I see is a bulkhead. How do I access the area under the forward berth?

Fred, I suspect your fresh water tank is under the main salon floor as in my 4460. I had to pull up the carpet and cut a ~6'X 2.5' opening in the plywood floor to gain access to the tank to locate a leak. There is also an access hatch in the front cabin floor which when lifted allows access to the bow thruster and forward sump pump which pumps the forward sink/shower drains overboard. You should be able to see the front of your fresh water tank from this access hatch hatch and view the input hose and vent hose if the same as mine.

Why do you need to get to fresh water tank? When filling you should find tank thru hull vent and see water or hear air coming out? Then if not, find tank and vent. We had some mud daubers (wasps) that had built a nest in fuel tank vent some years ago and plugged vent, maybe same thing with your fresh water tank? Check it per above.
