Fun to watch, but so glad I didn't see a single Regal making an a$$ of themselves.

Nice Mid-Winter distraction and a good primer for those who need to know what NOT to do most of the time when running inlet's like Haulover!

Fun to watch, but so glad I didn't see a single Regal making an a$$ of themselves. Crazy, some boaters finally decided to slow down! I have watched a lot of those videos, fun also to watch the ones at launch ramps!

Personally, I find it challenging to watch other boats/boaters suffer any damage or risk but I still watch.

Running inlets is clearly an acquired skill, you need to do it several times and make a few mistakes until you kind of get the best way to approach it. Problem is in the course of going through a single inlet one way, you may hit a ton of different situations that require different speeds and approach solutions. Recognizing what you need at which particular time isn't always so easy to pick up until you've done it wrong a few times.

Running inlets is something I'm pretty nervous about and have only done a few times. I plan on more NJ runs this summer and the crossing inlets is something I am going to have to figure out.

Glad to be in sheltered marina on inland fresh water lake, dont have to learn how to navigate wild inlets!
