Just purchased a 90 hour 2018 33 SAV. Love it! However, the owners manual was missing on more than a few details. (This board already helped me identify the location of the fresh water fill valve - big thanks!)
I am trying to find the location of the fresh water pump that drives the potable water taps. There is very low pressure. I know the tank is full, I have activated the FreshWater switch at the helm, now I want to find the strainer at the fresh water pump location to see if it needs cleaned, or replace the pump. Cannot seem to find the pump anywhere!
Any advice would be gratefully received!
Thanks Michael

Typically freshwater pumps are located near the freshwater tanks. If your tank is under the cabin floor check for access panels in the floor or under berths/seats. Sometimes manufacturers do something really silly, example, Formula has a PC model in which they mounted the freshwater pump behind the cabin refrigerator. I would turn the pump on and run a faucet to trace the pump noise to help you narrow down the location.
The picture in the manual appears to have it mounted to a bulkhead but that is assuming they used a picture from your particular model and not just a stock pump photo.
Apples to Oranges, the pump in my 4060 is under a rear berth. I have to pull up the mattress to access the removable panel for the freshwater pump and AC pump/strainer.
Happy Hunting!

Nate:
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll take another look. The potable water tank has no hatch view that I can find, but maybe I am missing something.

The model Regal used in this video has it mounted on the bulkhead in the engine compartment under the macerator.
Just another consideration

Maybe filter to eliminate chemicals/smell etc>, like fridge water filter?

Both my buddies Water Pump on his SeaRay and my on my 4460 had strainers on them. Fine wire mesh that keeps any sediment in the tank from getting into the pump and downstream into the system. Not really a filter but just a screen in the area of the inlet side of the pump. Every spring after commissioning the water system from the winter antifreeze we have to use up here in Pa/NJ/MD, the strainers would get sediment in them which I think was from the antifreeze picking up whatever sediment that was in the tanks. We'd have to clean them out at least once in the spring before wee got to complete normal usage for the summer.
I haven't looked at the pump on my 33 OBX, which is accessible right next to the tank in the big storage are where the V8s would normally be on the 3300. But since this was the first winter it was stored, I'm guessing I'm going to have to do the same thing this spring.

Just looked at the spec sheet of our recently replaced Shur Flow 5 pump, yea, it indicates a strainer, but not where? Assume in pump inlet? Also, our pump is in the engine room attached to the fwd bulkhead. I added 4X double stud ended rubber mounts, cant hear it when it is running, nice pump and a lot of pressure , factory set at 60 PSI , "0" flow. Son said take out the isolator mounts, likes to hear when pump is running, good idea but didnt do it

Still looking. That damn strainer is somewhere. Send e mail to Regal customer service , provide hull number and ask them where it is? Possible it is in the pump inlet like I think ours is?
