I was hoping people would respond to allow this thread to act as a bit of a 42 Fly club registry. I probably should have stated that upfront.

That's very exciting. Please keep us updated on your progress and post lots of pictures. Would like to know how you like the 3 Yamaha 425's compared to sterndrives. What was the primary motivation for the change? The flying bridge, outboards, or something else?

Enjoy! Great boat. My one issue with the 36XO is when you trim engines up, you can't easily cross the swim platform. Especially on the 36XO with the full cover. You cannot attache the bungees without the transom seat fully extended. Doing that with the engines trimmed is almost impossible. Perhaps only if your dock is starboard before you trim engines up. Doesn't work port side.

As with all new boats a few oversights on Regals part is not uncommon. Boat didn’t come with, salon table pads to convert into a berth, stereo remotes and access cover plates on the radar tower. This last storm revealed several leaks in the flybridge door and a leak into the engine compartment. My marina is on top of these and other issues. The outbooards have some getting used to, they’re not as maneuverable as pods obviously. Standard bow thruster, sea keeper and the fly was what sold me. The boat is gorgeous! With the engines trimmed up it is a little tight through the 18 inch platform. The performance is amazing. Before you know it you’re doing 40 miles an hour. Power band is smooth and steady, unlike the pods where there is a greater low end torque with the duo props. As soon as I figure how to post photos I’ll do so.

The more info up front the better the answers Having a 2001 4160 with 1200 hours on engines still going strong and Cruiser great on our inland fresh water lake. Thinking the fly bridges better on ocean than cruisers regardless of propulsion type ?

I took over a dealer slot for the FXO in March of 2021. Custom ordered it myself and took delivery the last week in July.

I noticed Regal offers a washer dryer option. Haven't been able to locate any info. I would assume the 2nd bath area would be converted? Tnx

Tnx Try the Regal web site, maybe listed there as a option on certain models? On the 4X60 series Commodores, the washer / drier option replaced a seat/storage below seat just fwd of the aft head sink. Assume you would be on week or longer cruises to need washer/dryer
