I check in to this site almost every morning and things get typically quiet this time of year so I am wondering/asking - what are your trip plans for this summer? I am running from Barkers Island Marina in Superior, Wisconsin to Sault St Marie then back to Isle Royale then to Thunder Bay Canada and back home - just to say I touched both the East and West coasts of Lake Superior. I'm calling my trip "The Lake Superior Epic Fuel Burn of 2023"

We plan on doing a dam to dam run at Table Rock Lake. That will be our big run. We have never tried it before. Otherwise, lots of coving out. May 6 is our 2023 Boating Season Kickoff with our lake family. It is a good weekend to start our cove outs with 10 or 12 boating families attending, boating and ending the day with a potluck dinner.

That sounds great! I'm hoping to launch the last week of April - which usually means the first week of May. Have a great and safe summer.

Similar to last summer, we plan to continue our exploration of the Chesapeake Bay. Last year we motored around 100 hours. This year we have a couple of longer overnight trips planned and hope to make it as far south as the start of the ICW at Norfolk, VA. Next year we are planning to perhaps start an ICW trip down to Southport, NC. It's getting close. Weather permitting we will launch this year around Apr 13.

I'm in the final stages of a ~3000 NM journey myself. We left just before Thanksgiving and cruised from the Potomac river down the entire AICW to Key West. A week in Key West, a month in marathon, a little over a week in Key Largo, and a lot of stops along the way. We're now on our way back North, almost back to where we started. Summer? Maybe move the boat up from Potomac to Vermont, but maybe just leave it. Undecided right now.
