Well, the wife told me we could not get another boat until we sold the one we had and now our 2013 28 Express is with new owners in a new state! Worked out well that she sold at the end of a great season on board and now we can take the whole winter to find our next one! I'm hoping to find a used 35 Coupe or 32 Express but they are a bit out of our range right now. I am scouring the web!

Congrats. Either the 35SC or 32X will be a great choice and a nice jump up from the 28.

Congrats on the sale. As someone who went from a 28 express last year to a 33 express this year I can tell you it is a huge difference. The 32/33 is an awesome boat. The differences between the 32x and 35 sc are many. I prefer to be outside while cruising so the enclosed cockpit of the 35 is not for me. I also prefer the larger mid berth area of the 32/33, that king sized mattress is no joke! The 35’s cockpit is a little bigger, the 32/33 has more counter space in the cockpit and I like the layout of the entertainment center on the 32/33 more. The 35 is wider and longer, the 32/33 is taller and has a bit more headroom in the cabin, especially forward in the cabin where my head touches the ceiling on the 35. I’m 5’11” btw. Both boats have huge swim platforms. The ultra lounge is bigger on the 35( wider and longer) My 33 has a hardtop, which I love but it is only available on 2019 and 2020 models. The 35 obviously always has a hardtop and the only canvas is at the stern.
Good luck with your search, both boats are great!

Great that you sold your 28 at the end of the typical northern boating season, dont know your location but assume you have winters (pull out/dry dock, winterizing, etc.)? Tell wife now is also the best time to buy a new boat, a lot of owners dont want to go thru the winter stuff so you most likely can get a great deal on a 32/33 now? Old saying, sell in spring, buy in fall

So have you decided on only a Regal 32/33 or 35? Or are you considering other brands. Every time we have looked at boats we kept an opened mind and looked at everything but ultimately kept coming back to Regal

I am in the same boat, I keep coming back to Regal. For the money, Regal has everyone beat in my opinion.

Been a while since I have been on. We have bought anything yet while we were getting other things in order. Now we are on the hunt and we are looking at a lot of boats but we keep coming back to the Regals! I am looking hard at 35 SC's as we really love the enclosed cockpit. Just have to find the right deal on a great boat.

Yeah, there are quite a few 35 SC's out there but as of right now the lowest price is at 167k which is way off from where we can go which is a real bummer. Find me a 35 SC or 32 Ex under 100k and I am in! No other manufacturer makes a cockpit like Regal and everything else is a compromise. But price wins out so there will be compromises! We have been out looking at many boats and it is amazing at how many are so poorly maintained and how people misrepresent by photoshopping pics. Just looked at something this past weekend and it looked nothing like the pics. Sad

There is a 32 Express out there for 133k but it has no generator (insane!) and has 260hp Mercs with Bravo 3's which I would never consider owning. I would never buy another boat with Bravo 3's. My last Sea Ray had B3's and was nothing but nightmares for 7 seasons. My VP Duo Props on my Regal were perfect.

My advice is if you find a 32/33 that seems to be just outside your provide range you just make an offer anyway. For example there are a few 2016 32X for 159k. If you are willing to pay at most 110k make that offer. Honestly you never know someone’s situation and I know people who bought used boats for massively lower than listed selling price. Just be honest with your offer etc. you may get lucky.
