'07 4460 ... it has the original televisions aboard and each mounted ... starting with the galley, I want to replace the 20" tv with a 32" smart tv and mount it in the same space. I haven't removed the 20" tv yet, but i've glanced at the metal bracket ... I suspect i'm going to have to get a new metal bracket fabricated. Not sure I can take any existing normal tv bracket to mount to that salon wall. Has anyone else done something similar and have any tips?
Cheers

Cheers I the 20" is mounted to the wall you may be able to use the same mounting bracket to mount the 32". If 32" won't fit the VESA pattern on the 20" bracket just buy a new bracket for the 32" and per your post assume the old bracket is just screwed into the wall? Doesn't sound like a major job?

I'm not sure how consistent Regal was on their mounts, but all mine were a VESA 100mm x 100mm pattern. It just so happened that the new TV's I bought were also 100x100 as well so it was an easy swap out. If your new TV's aren't the same VESA size, you can buy a VESA adapter plates on amazon like this instead of having to buy a completely new mount/arm.

Not to derail this thread too far but has anyone seen a good aftermarket tv mount that folds down from the overhead? I'd love to mount a small tv to my hardtop and fold it up and away. It would have to be very slim line and outdoor rated too. I've searched but there isn't much out there i could find.

I was today years old when I learned about VESA sizes. Thanks! Just to add a quick note while we were discussing TV Mounts. As I had mentioned here, I used the existing Regal mount for my new TV, but what I didn't mention was that I added a swivel plate. In my 3560 model, the salon TV is mounted right next to the door for the head and didn't really leave much room for a larger TV than the MASSIVE 15" TV that was original . First option was to complete move the TV location. I considered that but then I would have to deal with attempting to move the existing coax and video cables, covering the hole that would be left, etc. In the end I decided to mount the new 24" 12v TV in the same location. The trick was that I installed a 90 degree swivel plate ( link here) that let's me swivel the TV from watching mode (horizontal) to out of the way mode (vertical) really easily. Not for everyone I'm sure but works well for us as we also liked the existing location relative to the couch. Attachments:

hmmm, now I need to go back and look at the other tvs to see if I can just use that VESA plate noted above by SandLapper. On the large, main galley tv, I removed the original 20" which was mounted to a wood piece screwed into the wall (and cables coming out of the middle). I wanted flexibility so I bought a double-arm tv mount and installed that, which meant drilling into the wall to screw in the huge screws ... well, now I have two small screw ends in the shower on the back side. But other than sealing those off and getting a plastic cap to stick on top of them, the tv mount works well. Need to run at speed to see if it can stand the beating. The mount must weigh 2x what the tv itself does. But now I have flexibility to pivot the tv and adjust angles, including even watching from bed in the master stateroom. This mount also allows me to remove the tv with 2 simple screws so I can take it up top in the good weather.
