I came across an old thread on another board where people were discussing using wood for stringers and transoms, which got me wondering if Regal is currently using wood for below the water line things such as stringers, bulk heads, and transoms?

Yes, Regal uses wood below the waterline, along with many other quality boat builders.

Agree with lg260ss! our 2001 4160 has a lot of wood below the water line but if it is properly glassed/resin coated as our apparently is there shouldn't be any problems with it? 19 years in Lake Lanier (now 6' over the max full level!) it should be fine! Welcome to the new forum!
