Thanks so much for your tips. But I'm limited with practicing now due to the water ways in DC have regulations since the Covid-19 going on. So its REALLY HARD having a brand now boat that i cant operate. But for now I'm just enjoying the salon cabin area and just relaxing watching TV. I'll make sure to post some pictures very soon. thanks to all...

Crwatson39,
Yes this lock down on recreational boating in Maryland is impacting many of us. I guess I understand why it happening, but my new 33obx is sitting on the hard completely prepped and ready to be dropped in the water for turnover, but that can't happen due to the lockdown. I was actually considering just driving down with the stuff I need to load on it and loading it up and sitting on it for a bit in the parking lot. If it wasn't for the full lockdown, I'd probably do that. However, I'm pretty sure the Maryland police would pull over a pa plated car one 301 headed down there. I don't want to break the rules, but considering it would be just me and my boat I don't get who Im' hurting. I guess that is enough said on the matter, but I hope the recreational boating ban lifts sometime soon. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be sending the first and second payments in on my new toy before it ever hits the water. Stay safe everyone.

Maybe ask you loan company to defer payment without penalty do to lock down? We finally have a stay in place order in gA but cant believe being on boat in middle of 57.92 mi² lake would violate any 6' social distancing ? Hang in there POTUS says it will be over in a couple of weeks?

I'm not in a situation where I need to do that or go through the hassle, at least not yet. I'm hoping this is over before we get there.

Congrats on your new 28! You are going to absolutely love it!!! Perfect boat for a couple or small family. Regal does a great job of making ALL of their boats feel much bigger than they actually are. We bought a high quality memory foam mattress for the midship berth, best night sleep you will ever have! Great boat for entertaining and plenty of power to get you where you want to be quick. Tons of storage and all the fit and finishes are great quality. Regal just builds a really nice boat!!!
Trying to get our second year with our 28 started... marina on lock-down until April 29! I was told today that they "hope" to start launching boats in early May. I'm hoping most of the work I had them doing on our boat is already completed. Nothing like writing checks for toys you cant play with!
Ahhhh, the joys of boat ownership!!!

creation39 - Congrats and welcome to the Regal Owners Forum as well as the Regal family. I have owned 7 boats, the last 3 have been regals, so IMHO, you chose wisely.
Crazy times we are living in. No idea why a man and wife can't play a round of golf with each other, or a man and wife can't go for a cruise on their boat. I can't think of any activities that provide further distance from others. Go figure. It almost seems like certain people think the lock down is a punishment.
Anyway, I hope all of this clears, and there is enough left of our economy to prevent a Max Max life style for all of us, and you get the opportunity to fully enjoy your new Regal.

My thoughts = (From oldest son, a M.D.) = Let a few people play golf, then everybody playing golf and at 19th hole in club house for a lunch and a few drinks. Let a few folks(many men and wives) go boating from the dock, then a lot of other men and wives (and why not children) at docks launching, boating, back to dock full of other folks doing the same thing? Why dont we all take Dr. Fauci advice and just stay home until this is under control. Cant wait until November for presidential election. Yes, assume I will get some backlash from this but this I how I feel after 3.5 years of the current POTUS.

My problem with your statements goFast is that if this was true why are we still allowing people to go workout. I've been riding my bike almost daily for exercise, and I have a trail near my house that I can ride upon it goes all the way from my house down to Philadelphia and north of my house for about 10 miles. I've been on it probably 15 times since the Pa lockdown started and each day there are more people on the trail then I typically see in a month of riding prior to the look down. Most folks are following the distance restrictions and moving along, some aren't and those that aren't are being told so by those who are following the rules. I started wearing a mask on my rides over the last week, and I never touch anything on the trail during the rides. While I don't want this taken away, I believe I have more of a chance to get infected on the trail then I do going to the marina and taking my boat out on the water for 4 hours by myself or the people in my house. I'm simply looking for consistency, clearly I wouldn't do the normal things I would with my boat in these times, but it would be nice to at least be able to take a ride or even just go down to it and stay overnight. And in Maryland I can't do that, unless I plan on to fish for sustenence, if so I can take it out.
The other puzzling thing in Maryland is that they are allowing charter boats to go out with up to 10 people on them who wouldn't be related. That seems totally against social distancing. I'm not sure how many people are signing up for those charter trips now, but that doesn't sound right to me.

Hello Purchase a Regal 2004 2665 looking forward to being a part of the boating community. Years ago we owned a 35 ft. sailboat, so we new to the power cruiser seen. We would appreciate any comments for the “green” new owners.
