I wanted to post this for anyone looking in the future. I was having trouble filling my fresh water tank on my 08 3060. After some diagnosing I realized I had it so full that I couldn't see a water line in the tank. Unfortunately my fresh water tank monitor was showing empty too after having worked the same day. Making it all difficult to chase down. I ended up unhooking from the city line and running a faucet for 15 minutes. Then I was finally able to see a water line in the tank. What I learned: - The vent (I have to assume that's what it is) is actually inside the anchor locker. Its not on the outside of the hull as you might suspect. See attached. - When the tank is full/filling it will leak from that vent. Tip - Fill direct from anchor wash down on city hookup to save hose run length from transom. - The fresh water tank is under the stairs on this particular model. So is the gray water sump/pump. See attached. - The tank level may/may not work when 110% full. Mine is working again after using a bit of water though it reads 50% when I know its 100%. Attachments:

My thoughts= Never leave the shore fresh water line connected while you are away from the boat. If you have a leak somewhere that will continue to push city water into the boat and continue to leak/flood while you are gone! None of our 28 slip mates leave the city water hose connected, all just fill up potable water tank when tank is low, then turn off city water valve and leave hose turned off. I believe (on our boat) the city water connection bypasses the fresh water tank and just supplies city water pressure to all water connections on the vessel so leaving it connected doesn't fill up the potable water tank.

Jon: I totally agree with you there. On the fill comment I was saying to use the vessels plumbing to get from the transom fill (city connection) to fresh water fill at bow. Via the anchor wash down hose within the compartment. So you aren't trying to string a city water hose all the way to the bow. Something I read on the old forum and really appreciated being posted. Its a simple thing but saves a lot of time & hassle.

Correction = We have a seperate thru hull fresh water fill port on the port side above and next to anchor locker at the bow !! . Cap like a gas fill port (but labeled fresh water) so just use it with a hose from dock fresh water and fill up potable water tank until overflows from tank vent thru hull. in essence, we never connect directly from shore fresh water hose to inlet on boat, if we forget to disconnect the shore fresh water hose the problem of a leak continuously in the boat fresh water system remains.
