Agreed; totally a shame. I am very reluctant to speak of the dead----BUT The blame, however, lies with John for not providing a channel for continuance of the forum. He did not suddenly pass away. His illness had been going on for a long time. It wouldn't have taken much of his time. Possibly an offer and several minutes of effort. Enough said. Sorry I dont share your philosophy. After surviving cancer and heart surgery 10 years ago the last thing on my mind at the time of chemo/surgery (thinking I would not be around for more than a couple of months) was to transfer/forward / offer to maintain a private web site that I had hosted over many years. Hoping you dont have any serious medical problems in the future and if so, you can think back about your post? if anyone takes offense to my post please let me know. Thanks |

As a matter of fact, I DO have serious medical problems. Don't think I'll die from it, but not guaranteed. I have set forth, recently, to clear up a lot of things. This is my responsibility to my wife and children!
If you can't see your way to blame John, then who? His wife? The rest of us for not pursuing, aggressively, a way to transfer the site? We all talked about it, but I believe very few, if any, made any contact.
As I said, I regret speaking of the dead, but there IS blame to be had.

May his soul Rest In Peace, I am not sure what happened but we now have a place.
I know posts and important information is lost but we can make up for it.
For what it’s worth, we have more members joined currently on this site than we had with the other site...which means we can make up for it with our current post..
Also, there are two moderators on this site...which also means that I have back up Incase I go MIA.

Also, positive, is the number of members on this new site, if we keep at it and maybe get a "up lift" on any Google search we may attract more participants? Thanks |
