New to me boat in perfect condition - only 34 hours. I want sonar capability for diving so I am upgrading the chartplotter to xs model which has the driver to send signal to transducer instead of adding black box. The price was almost the same and I will sell the original 742 unit.
Does anyone have pictures of the dash opened up to access the wires for the chartplotter? It appears that removing the 5 dash perimeter screws will allow access behind the dash panel and the removal of the 4 gps screws will allow it to be swapped out. Does anyone have pictures of the stock transducer cover panel removed? I plan on installing an In-hull Garmin GT15M-IH (supports CHIRP) buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/530269/pn/010-12402-00 to avoid coring a hole in the hull to place in the forward fastrac hull area AND to avoid installing a transom mount transducer buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/530265/pn/010-12404-00 due to it sticking out and wire routing etc.
Does anyone have pictures described? Does anyone have the in-hull, thru-hull (optional B60 transducer) or transom mount transducer installed? How is the overall performance?
