Shortly after I purchased my Commodore 360 in March, the starboard prop was damaged and repaired. I still have a vibration on the starboard side at greater than about 2800 rpm. It may be that the prop shop that re-worked the prop did not get the balance quite right (hoping there's no shaft damage). That said, I am giving thought to replacing both props with four blade props. With that, a couple questions come to mind....
1. Does anyone know the size and pitch of the standard props for this vessel? 2. Has anyone changed to a 4 blade prop and what size and pitch did you go to?
TIA - JJ

I don't have a 360 but why do you want to change the props. Were those fine and you just banged them up? You can get them reconditioned if that is the issue. It's going to be cheaper than new ones as long as those worked fine until they were banged up.

The starboard prop got curled by something the transporter did....either hitting something submerged while running the boat to the loading ramp (i was not there with him) or loading it on the trailer. He had the prop reconditioned (and paid for it). I still have a vibration on the starboard engine so I'm thinking the prop shop didn't get the prop balanced very well. With that thought, I'm considering rather than hauling the boat and having it out of the covered slip for who knows how long, I would put new props on it and perhaps switch to four blade rather than three blade props for better acceleration "on plane"...I may lose a couple knots on the top end but it's not a ski boat and I'm not into burning 50GPH at WOT anyway...

I had similar question on my 4460. I sent the hull number to Regal (inline) and within 2 days they sent back my OEM prop info and expected performance.

Hawker, glad you received a prompt response directly from Regal! Thinking I am seeing this same problem posted on Facebook Regal Owner forum? OK, doesn't hurt to broadcast to other forums to get more exposure to problem/possible solutions!

Joking aside, you need to get prop shafts measured for radial run out! With the props that bad most likely it also bent one or both of your prop shafts!

It was just the starboard prop that was damaged and that’s the side still creating the vibration. I’ve been waiting since August to get SOMEONE to pull the boat out of the water. Sadly, there are NO travel lifts on the lake and only a couple facilities that have a trailer to accommodate a 36 ft/17,000+lb vessel and they stay very busy. I’m almost wondering if it might be worth the investment to buy my own trailer and lease it to one of the marinas on the lake....🤷🏻♂️

No, trailer for that size vessel will be very expensive and not sure marina will want to "lease" it from you? Just wait until they can pull your boat with maybe a rented trailer or find a diver that can go into water and measure shaft run out (that might be hard to find ) . So how did the "transporter get the prop off, repaired, and replaced? You indicated he damaged the prop either launching off a trailer or on the way to your slip. Where is the trailer he launched the boat from at now?

Where is the trailer he launched the boat from at now? The transporter was hired to move the boat from Lanier to Allatoona. He drove to boat from the Lanier marina to the boat loading ramp (a few miles) and pulled it out of the water on his trailer. It sat on his trailer in his shop building near Lanier for about a month while the props were being worked. Once he got them back, he put the props back on the boat and moved it to Allatoona and launched it. I never saw the boat from when it was in the former owner's slip on Lanier until he had it in the water and in a slip he had on Allatoona. I've not communicated with him since then.

For anyone considering changing from three to four blade props...I would give it a "thumbs-up"! I removed the three blade 18 X 21 bronze props that were likely original to my Commodore 360 and replaced with 18 X 20 DQ Bronze Michigan Wheel props and am quite satisfied with the improved acceleration and ability to get on-plane sooner. The boat appears to cruise at the normal 8 knots I run at a slightly lower rpm setting and WOT results in the normal 3800-4000 rpm range with about a 2 knot loss of top end speed....I'm not particularly concerned with this loss as I remind myself I'm not running an 18 foot ski boat and a 50 gph fuel burn is not in my budget anyway....
If anyone wants to know....I bought the props from Deep Blue Yacht Supply for just over $1600 with shipping. They were a good place to deal with and the order was fulfilled quickly and accurately....plus they were about $300 less than their closest competitor....
Smooth waters! - JJ

I was thinking of putting on 4blade but my 3 blade are perfect condition and $2000 expense that i didn't need was hard to justify but these regal 360 take lot to get on plane with that 3 blade, reading your post I may have to buy these now. Has it increased your idle speed much? Mostly I'm thinking about maneuvering at the dock. But maybe increase at idle is better for docking since you get more thrust

Has it increased your idle speed much? Mostly I'm thinking about maneuvering at the dock. But maybe increase at idle is better for docking since you get more thrust Docking and maneuvering don't seem to have changed too much, though I expect there is a bit more effective thrust at lower RPM settings due to the lower blade pitch angle on the four blade prop. Where I believe the greatest difference to be evident, is in the normal cruise range I run at (8-10 knots), the acceleration rate to reach that speed and also getting the boat on plane and up to the WOT speed. Personally, I am able to rationalize/justify the money spent to be well worth it. As mentioned earlier in the thread, I experienced like results with a smaller family runabout that we used to pull the kids in a tube or on skis....the four blade prop upgrade made a huge difference in the ability of the boat to get on plane with the family aboard while pulling a tube or skier. - JJ
