Hi all,
I live in the UK and am looking to put a Regal boat on the river. Has anybody got any advice about how good a Regal 2565 or 2665 is at slow speeds. Do they tend to wander and how easy are they to manoeuvre in locks etc?
Also the 2565 has the eyebrow windows. The 2665 doesn’t. Are there any other significant differences that could help me choose one over the other?
many thanks.

Boat choice is best left to you, but if you are looking for the best 'non-wander' at slow speeds boat, you, in my opinion, have 2 choices: twins, or counter-rotating dual props. Volvo Penta dual prop OD or MerCruiser Bravo 3 OD.

Thanks Guys. I’m likely to put a deposit today on a lovely Regal 2565 with counter-rotating props, so thanks for the advice.

Your welcome! When you get it take a couple of pics and post them! Also, if wandering into the sea maybe get the highest HP engine (s) you can get, the extra cost will save you more in the long run (like when selling it). Cheers!
