On the 26 XO, is there a way to shut off the fridge when the boat's 12 volt mains are engaged? My dealer told me there isn't, and that the only way to achieve "off" when running on 12 volt is to move the thermostat setting to "0". That struck me as a little strange because the owner's manual instructs that: "{A} separate switch that simultaneously disconnects the power cables must be installed upstream from the refrigerator." From what my dealer described there is no such switch - which I would normally expect to be a breaker - in there.
The 26 XO has a 120 volt panel for a/c, but it does not have one for 12 volt. I am not used to this. Every boat with a cabin that I have ever owned has had both 12v and 120v panels. I've always just shut off the breaker on the 12v panel when I wanted to turn off the fridge.
Is there something obvious that I am missing?
Any 26 XO owner's out there that can chime in?

i believe that USCG etc. code would require a separate DC breaker for the 12 VDC fridge (or circuit breaker for everything DC except bilge pumps) ! We even have a DC breaker for our Co detector! Call or e mail Regal to see what they can offer?

I’d be curious to see the answer to this one. I was actually wondering the same thing myself.

My SC35 cockpit fridge is wired on the same manner. No individual 12v switch to turn it off. I just turn the fridge knob to off as your dealer told you. The cabin fridge does have a 12v breaker/switch but not the cockpit one.

Looks like the turn to "0" is it.
On a different note, I am impressed with how little power this little fridge draws and how well it works. The door has a specs decal indicating it'll draw 84 watts. I consistently measured it drawing half that. Very impressive.
