Does anyone have the specs for exact drive shaft length on the 1991 Commodore 360 or better yet, the five digit part number from General Propeller? I have communicated at great length with someone at Regal on this but to date, he has not been able to find this information in their existing records.
I am in a bit of a jam with this as there are no travel lifts on the lake and only two places to haul the boat out on a sled. The marina would only be able to haul the boat for long enough to change out the drive shaft at this point in the year...not for enough time to remove the shaft and send to General Propeller for duplication.

Would hiring a diver to go down and measure be an option?

My 1991 Commodore 360 owners manual says it's 1 1/2" by 83" Stainless Steel Thanks for this information! I went back through my Owners Manual and found the information you gave on "Section IV" Pg 148 of the manual! That will be a HUGE help!

Dont believe all in owners manual. Get ahold of Regal, give hull number and ask what they put in!! I have worked with Patrick (who has worked there 35 years) at Regal on this and they have ZERO shaft detail with any records on hand beyond diameter and coupler size. He even reached out to a retired Regal engineer to get any records he had....went through that info with no help there either. So although Regal has gone above and beyond that which is reasonable, they simply cannot come up with the information....from any source. Now, I need to determine if I have a "double or single taper" shaft....

It may be in PDF or an "image" form. There are times a PC won't select the text like if you were trying to copy/paste an HTML page or WORD doc...
