Does anyone have any information or pictures of a freezer on a late model Regal? I’ve seen pictures of the refrigerator and seen them in person but never seen the optional freezer. I’m assuming it would have ice trays but I haven’t been able to find anything. On a similar vein since they seem to be a little rare is it because they are just not that useful and the twin refrigerators would be a better choice?
Planned boating would be predominantly cruising Chesapeake Bay but dream of going down the ICU as well.

I have twin fridges on my 2019 33 express. My family of 4 needs both fridges every weekend. The fridges have small freezer sections that you can make ice cubes in.

My setup on my 33 OBX is similar to LG260ss where we have two little freezers at the top of both fridges. However, both of my fridges are the sliding drawer type. I would think with your 36 you'd have a different setup of fridge models. How much freezer you will need would depend on your overnight needs for the boat. However, I always found on a boat more fridge space would be preferred for me over a completely separate freezer. I think with a Fridge and completely separate freezer you'd end up losing some overall fridge space and would have more freezer than you might need.

One of the reasons I'm asking is the refrigerator I saw on the 36XO was just a refrigerator with no small freezer area or place for ice trays. I will have to double check, but I was almost positive it was just all refrigerator, which isn't bad, I guess it all depends on how you use the boat. For us the boat would mostly be used a a weekend cruiser. So trying to figure out if freezer space would be handy or not.

For us the boat would mostly be used a a weekend cruiser. So trying to figure out if freezer space would be handy or not. So when we got our 38XO in 2020, we had a drawer style fridge and freezer (two drawers). The fridge was the bottom drawer and the freezer was the top drawer. Plus our freezer drawer was larger than the fridge. Just after we got our boat delivered a NEW model of the freezer/fridge came out where you can set which drawer would be a freezer or fridge. So you could have both as a fridge, both as a freezer or any combination. I asked Regal about this and they said they were planning on using that model on future boats but currently that model was not available just yet in the US. Also, if you are going to order a boat from the factory, you and there are OTHER models of the fringe/freezer by the same manufacture that you like better, you can probably have them swap it out.

We have a separate fridge/freezer in salon and a ice maker on bridge deck so the freezer in salon is great for freezing stuff . the ice maker can double as freezer, just take out ice bucket, turn bail wire to off (up)and put stuff your wanting to freeze in it. Works great to cool off warm beer in a hour or so also!
