Hello:
Just wanted to get some feedback on what owners thought of the performance of their AC/Heat systems. Specifically I was looking at a couple of new model Regals like 33's and 36's and I noticed very few AC vents in either the Salon/Helm area or the cabin below. No vents in the head. So perhaps when the canvas is up or the door to the cabin is closed the few I've seen is all you need? What has been everyone's experiences with keeping everything cool or warm?
Thanks

On our 4460, we have 3. One for the front of cabin, one for the rear and one for the cockpit. Being reverse cycle, hard to cool in warm water. We found a few things, cockpit needed sun shades over the windows to be effective. We were in Charleston, so system needed regular flush with fresh water to keep it clean and effective. Not very good at removing moisture so overnight you get the cold/damp feel unless you put a dehumidifier in. Of course the alternative of hot/humid and stuffy wasn’t appealing..

have an older '91 Commodore 360 with a single system...two rectangular vents in the salon on the port side and a small round vent in the aft and forward cabin...system works quite well for both heat & cool...vent in the door to head allows air to flow when door is closed....would definitely be nice to have an aft system or vents in the cockpit area for warm/hot days but a fan at the helm helps a little....

The Ac on our 33 express works just fine. The 33 does not have cockpit AC, it’s only in the cabin.
