Hi everyone: I'm looking at the standard Regal offering for chartplotter without the extra optional B60 transducer. I asked my dealer to find out what I would get if I didn't order the B60 transducer and the answer was a basic Garmin "intelliducer'. When I did a little research on the B60 it seems like it's still categorized as a "entry level" transducer. That seems to be the same basic description as the bottom of the barrel "intelliducer". Does anyone have any experience with the transducers used by Regal? I'm really just looking for depth and temperature but would like it to be reliable. Thanks Steve

by the way. here's a picture of the optional B60 transducer: I guess my worry would be the standard "intelliducer" looks to be made of plastic while the B60 looks like brass. Not sure how rugged that plastic "intelliducer" would be as a thru hull fitting penetrating the bottom of the boat. I hope Regal knows what they're doing . . .
