Anyone getting the Garmin 8622 be aware there is NO sd chip slot to update as required with active captain to the helm station via the wifi to the 8622 as shown in the manual. You must establish a connection to the Yamaha device and insert cards in there. It's a bit cumbersome. Work around is to install a Garmin card reader. That is via USB and you need to pull the dash top off to access.

 Thanks for the tip tmuller. I thought there was some kind of card reader near the fuse panel on the right side of the helm station below the shifters? |

It was at the Regal dealer. Even though I don’t have my boat yet I tried to crawl around the boat they had in stock before it was sold. I’m reasonably certain that panel has either a USB port or card reader tied to the NMEA 2000 bus for exactly what you are trying to do.
