So today I went to my boat and my a/c stopped working. I am getting an HPF error on both of my thermostats. I two units, one in the cockpit and an other in the cabin. What’s weird is there is no water coming out either the forward or aft holes, so assume something is wrong with the cooling. Anyone have experience with this? I thought it’s odd that both units would stop at same time, but they must be connected somehow for cooling? Attachments:

HPF error usually means the AC lost its prime. I’ve had this happen to my dometic AC system on my 26xo.
First, Look at your AC strainer filter, see if it’s clogged. Close your silcock. Empty or clean out strainer filter. Find the scupper the water usually emptys out of when the AC is on, and hold a hose up to it and back fill your system. It may take 15 min depending on how long your lines are. Once the AC strainer filter is filled back up with fresh water, you should be able to open the silcock again and the system SHOULD be re primed.
This worked for me, hopefully it works for you

Wondering if they are connected in some way. I'll have to do some googling on priming the a/c as I am not familiar with how it all works.

Found the seacock and cleaned it out, but didn’t fix. Marina ended up fixing by priming the system. It ended up losing prime when they hauled the boat to fix something else. They put a special flush cover on and filled it with water to make it work. I think I will buy the cover, so I can fix my self in future.

One sea water condenser pump services both HVAC units/ Did you turn on the AC Pump breaker?

The HVAC sea water pump is not self priming. anyone who pulls boat for winter knows this problem If a good marina , they should have known this would happen? Hope they dont charge you for their mistake!

Our non self priming HVAC pump has run without problems for 20 years. The impellor is coupled to the motor via magnetic coupling. No impellers to change or couplings to replace. Just have marina do what they should have done after pulling boat to dry dock?
