I am new to this thread and I wanted to get people's opinion on this boat. I am looking at purchasing one and will mainly be using it in the ocean. Does this boat perform well in the ocean?

It might be helpful if you said a little more about intended use: trailerable? fishing? family runabout? cruising? cuddy cabin? single engine vs twin? typical wave height you envision in the ocean? budget?

just curious to see how it operates in the ocean. it will be for cruising and possibly tubing and maybe some other water sports.

Being the owner of a Regal 2400, I will throw-in my $0.02. The 26 FastDeck will probably handle well in the bay areas and do fine on calm days out in the main water. It should handle moderate waves with ease - mine does a pretty good job. Tubing and watersports will be no problem whether lake or ocean assuming that it has adequate power. It will not be a boat that you would want to take out beyond the bay in rough conditions - check Youtube videos on Haulover Inlet to see what I mean.
