I have a Volvo penta 350 hp I/O. I started the boast and soon after I left the dock the engine alarm came on. Temp gauge at 200. I opened the hatch and seen that my flush bib was not screwed on in the engine bay. Tighten the flush bib cap and it’s still overheating. Any suggestions..
thank you

Just to add to this issue. If I do a freshwater flush the engine temp is normal. Drop down into the water and she overheats in a few min. All intakes seem to be clean and unobstructed. Help

First thing I would do is replace the impeller. The impeller needs to be replaced at least every other year and if they ever suck air they can be damaged.

Thank You… the engine bay is way too tight for me. So I’ll have that done soon. Thanks again
