Hi all, I recently purchased a 2001 3780. Motors have 470 hrs and running fine when I purchased. my port motor suddenly started to pop when going more than idle speed I changed the spark plugs and the rotor . It starts up fine and idol's fine but once I bring it up some RPm's and bring it back down it'll get an intermittent pop or chug in the motor. any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated . thank you

After having a little work done (new carbs) my starboard engine was doing something similar - found the mechanic didn't have the plugs in the right firing order - two were backwards. I'd also check your timing.

Also, new spark plugs one can be defective !Does it have problem when bringing down RPM slowly or fast, in neutral or in gear under power?
