Has anyone ever applied seagrass over a factory-textured floor? I'm curious whether it will adhere well to textured surfaces. Ours came with snap-in carpet but I never put it in because I don't like the hassle of taking it out to clean it thoroughly.

Makes sense! Just have to wonder what it cost to put in or have installed. From your picture I am not sure what year or model you have. Maybe put that info permanently into your salutation, that would help quite a bit.I believe that info is in my salutation? SORRY, did find you vessel info but it doesn't show up when doing a "quick" reply!
Thanks

Anyone have any experience with a "Sea Grass" dealer in the lake Lanier GA Region? Would the dealer have the patterns (or access to them) for a 2001 4160?
thanks

Thoughts about this locally quoted = "swim platform and cockpit in PlasTeak, more durable (picture attached) $5512" ? Doesnt seem to have a "add attachment" in the quick reply window, so went to "edit" and found a way to attach picture (s) . So, you get two pictures of the same picture!

I was just on the newer 2020 seagrass that comes on Regal. It’s a lot better than the seagrass as if a few years ago. It’s a bit thicker, softer and has a different backing that should hold up better and not flake off. I loved our original seagrass so much more than carpet but the new seagrass is even better.

Got the following info from local "Overboard Designs" dealer for PlasDeck = ""PlasDeck cost is sold at $54 per sq/ft. I will stop by to confirm measurements and provide you a current estimate. Material and installation are combined in order to offer the 10 year warranty"" end quote Anyone out there have any thoughts or experience with this material and installed price $54 per sq. ft ? What is typical installed price and warranty (per sq. ft.) for seagrass"? Haven't made any measurement on our 4160 so dont know how many sq. ft. there is to be covered.
Thanks

Hello my ROF friends it's been a while since I have been on. The seagrass turned out great. Over all the carpet is lighter in weight which makes it easier to move. Although I only have one trip on it I'm happy with the change. My son jumped in the 53 degree water and back into the boat immediately. Seemed like the seagrass was dry within an hour. Also like the feel on my feet. Did get somewhat hot with the direct sun but not near as bad as my flexiteek. Will have to see what a 90 degree day brings if it ever happens up here. Curious as to what salt water boaters use for floor/carpet? Just the non skid. Figure the salt water will destroy anything.

I have sea grass on the new 33 and I very much like it, I also have it in my 22 foot Bryant as well. It's been in that boat for now two years and it's holding up well. It does hold water in the rubber back but as noted above it dries much faster than the carpet I had on the 4460. Also I think it looks better overall due to the patterns you can get it in. As for puckering I haven't seen that with either boat yet.
LOL, didn't realize how late to the game I was with this comment. New Sea Grass looks great feedingfrenzy!
