Hello Regals,
I own Ambassador 255XL from 1989 which recently suddenly lost maneuverability. Fortunately I was somehow able to perform an emergency docking, so no towing was needed. The issue is hard to explain, the engine/propeller works forward and reverse, power steering OK and I can observe left/right motion of the propeller but no expected steering possible, the boat just floats with the wind as without the rudder!
Does anyone have an idea/advice regarding this? Thanks in advance for any input.

Maybe you spun your prop. With the engine off, and the drive in either forward or reverse. you should be able to turn the prop by hand in only one direction. If it spins both ways, the prop is spun.
