So I have a 2008 4060. The VacuFlush pumps for the forward and aft head are located way up high under the port gunnel. The only access I can find is from the engine room above the port fuel tank. The Glendening power cords are in the way too. How do I reach these to service the duckbill valves etc. It is too tight for any sized adult to get up there to see let alone work on. Anybody else done it? How did you get to them? Thanks, Kevin Tiny Tot 2008 Regal 4060

My middle son (not the boat owner) replaced the duck bills about 3 years ago, no problem for him reaching them. Two years later the pumps went out (caused by the toilet bowl ball valves seals leaking and causing the pumps to cycle every 5 minutes or so when away from the boat. Lesson learned, turn off vacu flush toilets DC breakers when leaving the vessel. had a great tech come out a year ago, replace both pumps, bellows, bowl seals, duck bill valves, gasket from bottom of bowl to floor flange, no problems since then but always turn off vacu flush pumps (they are both on one DC breaker) when we leave the boat. Also started using the combo toilet bowl cleaner/ball lubricant in both toilets every two months or so to lubricate the ball seal and clean bowl. So far, so good! Cost for above repairs/replacements about $600 FWIW.

Taking that out allows easy access into the EG room below. I too was scratching my head on how to get to them with inches of clearance above and in the front of the EG room. Sure glad I found this access when wiring the stereo up. Good luck!

Ya, 3060 a lot different than 4060(or 4160?). All I can say is that our two vacu flush tanks/pumps are easily accessible from engine room.

I have a 3860 (Same as the 4060) and it is nearly impossible to get at the vacuflush components on the port side. Not sure I could ever do it.
Maybe a pretty small person can wedge themselves in to do the work, but not me!

Would be nice if we knew where you were located! Possible some member could give you some advice as to who does a good job at reasonable costs to fix your vacuflush systems? The guy I had do my complete system overhaul was great and highly recommended at our lake, well worth the money we spent! Ya, I think yu want to do it yourself so maybe find a u tube video showing your exact boat and the steps to do the duck bill valves, the rest can get pretty complicated. Good luck and let us know what you do.
