Interesting issue. Outdrive will not hold trim position for more than a minute to three minutes while cruising and trim is slow to respond when trim switch is used. Happens between 2700 and 4000 rpms, consistently. Trim pump was replaced and that did not fix the issue. Any thoughts on the cause and a solution?

Did you check the hydraulic fluid level in reservoir?

Yep, has to be cylinders. Buy a seal kit for them it's not that had to do and it beats paying 3-6 hundred a piece

Yes, I do have an outdrive. The boat is a 2700. I will have to check for leaks and the reservoir. Thank you for the ideas on what to check.

Hydraulic fluid is good. No evidence of leaking on the pistons, however, there is some very minor slight staining in the water when coving out. That said, we are tied up with others and it could be another boat or tanning oil. We have a few folks among out boating group that use that liberally. Stay tuned...
