I just bought a new to me 2013 2700 ES, so I'm a new Regal owner trying to get to know my new boat; had a 2330 Chaparral for the last 19 years. When I try to either raise or lower the anchor, all I get is a loud click in the anchor locker, I assume that is the solenoid, the motor of the windlass never engages. The previous owner said he never used the anchor/windlass. I gave the motor a couple of raps with a hammer thinking maybe the motor was stuck, and loosened & tightened the clutch, but nothing happened. Any ideas or suggestions as to what I can try before I have someone come out to look at it?

Some people are like Slinkies, they're not good for much, but you can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

The Windlass was fed from the house battery and it wasn’t holding a charge. If you’re windlass is also off house battery, that could be the issue.
